Edgar Ackelson Services Set

Services for Edgar L. Ackelson, 59, of 1266 E. Thirty-fifth st., who died at home Saturday after a four-month illness, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Colonial Funeral Chapel with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Ackelson, who lived in Des Moines the last 49 years, had been retired for four months as a bus serviceman for the Des Moines Transit Co. He was a member of Street Railway and Motorcoach Employes Union 441.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice; two sons, Dean and Larry, of Des Moines; a daughter, Linda Ackelson of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Wilkinson, Mrs. Clarkie Cleghorn and Verdie Ackelson, all of Des Moines; three brothers, John and Leo of Des Moines, and George of Glenn Fork, W. Va., and a grandchild.
