Charles Parkins Rites Set Here

Services for Charles L. Parkins, 75, of 249 E. Eighteenth st., who was found dead from exposure Saturday, will be Tuesday noon at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens cemetery.

Mr. Parkins had been missing from his home since Jan. 27. His frozen body was found at County Line road east of S. W. Ninth st.

Born in Madison County, he lived here 20 years and worked at the Inland Milling Co. retiring in 1956.

Surviving are his widow, Charlotte: four sons, Leonard, Walter, Eugene and Donald, all of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Oline of Des Moines and Mrs. Leona Bovett of Cedar Falls: a brother, Alfred of Van Meter; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Craven of Winterset, Mrs. Eva Guiberson of Des Moines and Mrs. Nellie Johnson of Ormond Beach, Fla., and 15 grandchildren.
