Page 2Lottie Josephine Corrigan, 89, daughter of David Calvin and Minnie Bonnie (Anderson) Gustin, was born July 3, 1930 in Guthrie County, Iowa. She passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset, Iowa.
Josephine attended schools in Panora until the 8th grade and later completed her G.E.D. On May 3, 1947, she married Berthel J. Corrigan. To this union four children were born; Joan, Russel, Jerry, and Jim. They made their home on a farm near Casey until 1960. They then moved to Des Moines and lived there from 1961 until 1979. Then Dexter for the next 20 years. She has lived in Earlham since April of 2004.
Over the course of her life, she worked as a housekeeper, farm wife, and the hot lunch program for the Des Moines Public Schools.
Josephine is survived by her daughter, Joan Warden of Altoona; sons, Russel (Lucy) Corrigan of Des Moines; Jerry Corrigan of Earlham; and Jim (Sally) Corrigan of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Midge Wrage and Joann Badger.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Twigg Funeral Home, Panora. Burial will be in the West Cemetery, Panora. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
