Irl Raymond Jones of Winterset Care Center North died Wednesday, June 11, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 84. He had been a patient at the care center for two years.
Born on Dec. 1, 1895, in Cairo, W. Va., he was the son of Joseph Harvey and Annie L. McClead Jones. A disabled Army veteran, Mr. Jones was a patient at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Knoxville until transferring here.
Among the survivors are a niece, Evelyn Wineinger of Sand Spring, Okla.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at the Winterset Cemetery with Rev. Phill Hall officiating.
