H. N. Freiberg Dies at 97 Years

Hubert N. Freiberg, a resident of Winterset the past 11 years, died Tuesday, March 7, at Mercy hospital in Des Moines. He was 97 years of age.

Mr. Freiberg was born at Dexter on Oct. 8, 1874, a son of John and Fredricka Kuno Freiberg. His active life was spent in farming.

He was married Oct. 7, 1906, at Grimes, Iowa, to Regina Seibert, who preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Lutheran church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Waltz of Winterset, Mrs. Hazel DenHerder of Norwalk and Mrs. Cleo Janssen of Des Moines. His son, John H. Freiberg, died Feb. 12 of this year.

He also leaves six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, John Freiberg of Los Angeles, Calif., and O. A. Freiberg of Stuart; and a sister, Mrs. Lauretta Reeves of Creston.

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Paul Jilg of Peace Lutheran church in Des Moines. Burial was made in Sunnyhill cemetery at Grimes.
