Ft. Dodge, IowaJerry A. Dooley, 71, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, June 29, 2015, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel.
Jerry is survived by his wife Denise; his brother Alan Dooley, Dubuque; his father-in-law James Lee (Wife Mary Ann is deceased); his brothers-in-law, David (Jo) Lee; and Dean (Chris) Lee; his sisters-in-law, Deanne (Rick) Lee Johnson; and Denita Lee-Luke; along with two generations of nieces and nephews.
Jerry Allen Dooley was born in Ottumwa on September 16, 1943. He was reared in Dubuque and attended the Iowa School for the Deaf. Jerry worked for many years as an upholsterer in Dubuque. He was married to his wife Betty and they lived in Dubuque and later in Burt. She preceded him in death. On April 7, 1995, Jerry was united in marriage to Denise Lee in Algona.
Jerry enjoyed fishing and camping. Jerry dedicated his life to the Lord when they lived in Dubuque and has many friends in the church.
