Earlene Miller, 77, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Earlene was born March 23, 1934, in Maryville, Missouri, to Edward and Blanche Wasson. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. On March 15, 1957, she married William “Bill” Miller, and to this union two sons were born, Mike and Scott. Earlene was a homemaker, and worked as a sales clerk for Montgomery Ward. She was a self-taught artist and enjoyed painting in pastels. She loved doing crafts and especially loved working in her flower garden, where she would give “10 cent tours.” Earlene enjoyed 17 years of wintering in Mission, Texas, with her husband, Bill. She will always be remembered as a caring and loving mother, grandmother and best friend.

Earlene is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, Mike and Scott Miller; grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole) Miller; Shanna Miller, Anji Miller, Matt (Renae) Miller, Nicole Miller, Johnny Miller, Tyler Miller, Lynzie Miller, Jennifer Beem and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
