Ray Halley, 72, of North Myrtle Beach, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 20, 1940 in Fort Benton, he was the son of the late Warren and Edna Halley.
After 38 years as a statistician for the US Department of Agriculture, he retired to Barefoot Resort. He was an avid fisherman and active in the golfing community at Barefoot.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his daughter, Lynnette Melbostad of Scottsdale, AZ; his two sons, Brett of Clive, IA, and Craig of Austin, TX, and his two sisters, Elaine Courtnage of Big Sandy, MT and Sharon Roudebush of Geraldine, MT. He is also survived by two step-daughters, Anne Green of Washington, DC; Pauline Hartley of Saginaw, TX; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

No formal services are planned at this time.
