LeRoy Amos Vanderflught

LeRoy Amos Vanderflught, son of Roy Vanderflught and Gladys (Allen) Vanderflught was born December 29, 1923 in Decatur County, Iowa and passed from this life Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Mt. Ayr Healthcare Center in Mt. Ayr, Iowa at 95 years of age.

LeRoy grew up in the Kellerton area. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Jean Hargis on January 21, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa. LeRoy worked for Ankeny Tractor and Gobal Ford in Des Moines. LeRoy and Phyllis moved from Des Moines to Ankeny and in 1992 they moved to St. Charles, Iowa. LeRoy enjoyed roller skating at many roller rinks in his younger years. He enjoyed working on old cars and in his later years he enjoyed going to auctions, maybe not to buy anything, just to watch and visit with the people. LeRoy was attending the Trinity Christian Church near Kellerton.

Those relatives who preceded LeRoy in death were his wife, Phyllis Jean Vanderflught, parents, Roy and Gladys Vanderflught, brothers, Russell and Donald Vanderflught.

LeRoy is survived by his sisters, Juanita Mills of Van Wert, IA, and Alice Rush of St. Charles, IA, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
