George E. Blazer Died At Home Here Oct. 22nd

George Elmer Blazer, oldest son of Jefferson and Sarah Blazer, was born at Rockville, Ohio, Nov. 7, 1861, and departed this life at his home near Peru, Oct. 22, 1938, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 15 days.

On Nov. 13, 1893 he was united in marriage to Miss Vietta Bundy. To this union two children were born, Guy Warden of Glenn Ferry, Idaho, and Clarence Carl of Peru. At the age of 44 he united with the Methodist Church at Eagleville, Mo. The family moved from Missouri to the Peru community 19 years ago where they have resided since. He was a good friend and neighbor to all who had occasion to know him and will be missed by many.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his widow, Mrs. Vietta Blazer, his two sons, Guy and Carl, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Eva Henderson, and Mrs. Venia Elsie Morris, two brothers, Benjamin Elwell and William Elias Blazer and other relatives and friends.

Guy Blazer of Glenn Ferry, Idaho, and Mrs. Venia Morris of Kansas City, attended the funeral of George Blazer last Monday. Mr. Blazer was a constant sufferer for more than a year and was confined to his bed since March 19. He died at his home Saturday morning Oct. 22nd. Funeral services were held at the Kale Funeral home, conducted by Rev. J. H. Machlan.
