Services for Jerry Clare Owen, 51, Flower Mound, Texas, who died Nov. 30 at Baylor Medical Center at Grapevine, Texas, were held at the Collins Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 5, with the Rev. Charlie Morrow officiating. Burial was at the McDonald-Chase Cemetery in Madison County.

Born in Allerton on March 6, 1937, he was the son of Leonard and Mary Owen.

Mr. Owen was a journeyman carpenter who worked on high rise construction. He had lived in Des Moines until 1978 but in Flower Mound for the past two years, coming from Arlington, Texas.

He was married to Janet Clark on April 26, 1967 at Broward County, Fla.

She survives along with his mother, of Indianola; sons, Gerald of Newton, Dean of Peoria, Ariz., and John of Flower Mound; daughters, Karen Fedderitz of Phoenix, Ariz., and Carrie Halley of Phoenix; a brother, Howard Owen of Pleasant Hill; and six grandchildren.
