April, 2019Kathy Gray Wagner died April 16, 2019 at Methodist Hospital secondary to complications from a heart attack.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Susan Haines (Paul Rains); her son, Christopher Haines (Julia Johnson); her grandsons, Avery Haines & Henry Rains; sister, Adahmarie Hyatt of Dallas, IA and brother, Tom Gray of Carlsbad, NM as well as her niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husbands, Paul Snow and Mark Wagner.
Kathy was born in Des Moines, IA February 14, 1947 to her parents Honor Weddle and Robert Gray. She lived with her family at Fort Des Moines before moving to Winterset and later to Ames, IA where she attended High School.
Kathy so loved her home, her books, her music, her gardens, her animals and her church. Most of all, she loved her family and her greatest pride was being a grandmother.
Kathy was a long term employee with Unity Point.
We will forever cherish memories of our great adventures and miss her everyday.
A memorial service will be held at the Dallas Center United Methodist Church, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date. Online condolences are welcome at IlesCares.com.
