Evelyn Cline, 89, passed on March 24, 2019, in Mesa, Ariz., from natural causes, in hospice care, with her family present.

Evelyn was born on Nov. 11, 1929, in Winterset, Iowa. She met Keller “Bud” Cline at Winterset High School and they were married at the Little Brown Church on Oct. 11, 1948. Evelyn was the mother of three boys, Randy, Ricky and Jeff.

Evelyn and Bud lived in Winterset, Iowa; Mitchellville, Iowa; Urbandale, Iowa; and retired in Rogers Ark.; and later in Mesa, Ariz. While raising her children, Evelyn worked part time as a bookkeeper and secretary throughout her life.

Evelyn is survived by a grateful family including sister, Jody Griffith; son, Randy Cline (Shelley); son, Jeff Cline; grandson, Erik Cline (Lacey); grandson, Ehren Cline (Kari); and grandchildren, Courtney, Kellen, Hadley, Ladd and Finley Cline; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keller “Bud” Cline; son, Ricky Cline; parents, Agnes and Judson Brooker; and brothers, Bob Brooker and Carroll Brooker.

A ceremony will be held at Ochiltree Funeral Service on Friday, May 24, 2019. Memorials may be directed to Madison County Historical Society (815 S. 2nd Ave., Winterset, IA 50273)
