REDDING — Services for C. Claude Porter, 90, of Redding will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.
The Rev. Tim McKnight of Fieldbrook Baptist Church in Fieldbrook will officiate.
Burial will follow the services and will be at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.
Mr. Porter died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997, at his residence.
Born Aug. 3, 1907, in Peru, Iowa, he moved to Shasta County in 1957 from Eureka.
He was a Baptist minister for 32 years and last worked at the Grace Baptist Church in Redding, which he founded.
Survivors include wife Thelma; sons Kenneth of Houston and Dennis of Red Bluff; daughter Janet Smedstad of Calimesa; sisters Ethel Bates of Winterset, Iowa, and Nellie Parker of St. Charles, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
