John M. Lee, 62, Dies in Lebanon

LEBANON—John Marion Lee, 62, 2175 Mill St., died at the Lebanon Community hospital Friday evening.

He was born Jan. 18, 1897, at St. Charles, Iowa. He came to Oregon at the age of three, and had lived in Lebanon for the past 36 years, where he was employed as a night watchman at the paper plant here.

He was married to Ruth Simmons on March 17, 1954, at Corvallis.

In addition to his widow he is survived by a son, William of Lebanon; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia White, Lebanon, and Mrs. Gloria Webb, San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Earl, Sweet Home, Hugh, of Red Deer, Alta., Canada; Jim of Adah; two sisters, Mrs. Lora Bilyeu, Scio, and Mrs. Dessa Lucas, Philomath; and seven grandchildren.

Services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Jost Funeral home with the Rev. Herbert Anderson of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery.

Services Set For John Lee

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jost funeral home for John Marion Lee, Crown Zellerbach employee, who died at Lebanon Community hospital Friday. He was 61.

Mr. Lee, who lived at 2175 Mill street, had lived in Lebanon about 36 years. He was born in St. Charles, Iowa, Jan. 18, 1897, and came to Oregon when he was two years old. He married Ruth Simmons at Corvallis, March 17, 1954.

Survivors include the wife, one son, William John, and one daughter, Mrs. Patricia White, all of Lebanon, a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Webb of San Diego; three brothers, Earl of Sweet Home, Hugh of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, and Jim of Ada, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Bilyeu of Scio and Mrs. Dessa Lucas of Philomath.

The Rev. Herbert Anderson will officiate at the service. Burial will be at the IOOF cemetery.
