FULLERTON—Veva E. McNeff, 90, of Fullerton, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at her home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home. The Rev. Mary McQueen will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Veva McNeff

FULLERTON -- Veva E. McNeff, 90, of Fullerton died Friday, March 24, 2000, at her home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton. The Rev. Mary McQueen will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the National Parkinson Foundation, the Nebraska Boys Ranch in Alliance or the United Methodist Church in Fullerton.

Mrs. McNeff was born on May 17, 1909, in Madison County, Iowa, to Lewis Irvin and Maude (Miles) Weeks. She attended rural schools in Madison County. The family moved to Nebraska in 1923 and settled on a farm west of Fullerton. She attended Timber Creek High School and graduated from Fullerton High School as valedictorian in 1926.

She attended Nebraska Central College and obtained a teaching certificate. She taught at Midway District 50 and Cedar Valley rural schools.

She married Vivian McNeff on June 1, 1932, at North Star. They farmed there for 52 years. They moved to Fullerton in 1979. Mr. McNeff died on Jan. 10, 1992.

Mrs. McNeff was a member of the North Star United Brethren and EUB Church and the United Methodist Church of Fullerton since 1979. She wrote poetry and prose, some of which was published.

Survivors include five sons, William of Minneapolis, Arthur Ray, Ronald and Robert, all of Palmer, and Marvin of St. Paul, Minn.; two daughters, Kathy (Mrs. John) Jensen of Columbia, Mo., and Madalyn McNeff of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Faye Swanson and Grace Cunningham of Fullerton.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Elizabeth McNeff; two grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Weeks; and one sister, Ruby Milby.
