FULLERTON — Grace Cunningham, 95, of Fullerton died on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Fullerton.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton. Pastor Pete Jenks will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cunningham was born on March 4, 1920, in Winterset, Iowa, to Irvin Lewis and Maude (Miles) Weeks.

She married Alva "Al" Louis Cunningham on May 27, 1942. He preceded her in death.

Survivors of the immediate family include a son, Dan C. Cunningham of Fullerton; two daughters, E. Irene Kula and Nancy Jo Voichahoske, both of Fullerton; and three sisters-in-law.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Andy (Tara) Voichahoske of Fullerton, Kendra (Kevin) Mach of Scotia and Robert (Abby) Kula of Laurel, Md.; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the fourth daughter of five children. At the age of 4, she moved with her family to rural Nance County. She attended Timber Creek School and later graduated from Fullerton High School in 1937. After attending teacher training, she taught in rural schools throughout Nance County.

She and Al lived in Nance County all of their lives except for a three-year period when they resided in the state of Washington. The union was blessed with three children, Dan, Irene and Nancy.

Grace assisted her husband in his profession as an auctioneer and real estate broker. When their children were older, she worked at the nursing home in Fullerton, now Golden Living Center, and was a representative for World Book Encyclopedia. She also served as a teacher's aide at Fullerton Public Schools.

She maintained an active correspondence with extended family and friends, tended a large garden and was an excellent cook. Throughout her life, she was actively involved with her siblings, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading, poetry and charitable works and contributions. Grace attended Victory Baptist Church in Fullerton.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerald M. Weeks; and three sisters, Veva McNeff, Ruby Milby and Faye Swanson.
