Mary Esther Rockey, daughter of Harry J. Rockey and Loree (Christensen) Rockey was born August 12, 1948 in Osceola, IA and passed from this life Monday, January 28, 2019 at The Rehabilitation Center of Des Moines in Des Moines, Iowa at 70 years of age.

Mary grew up in Truro and graduated from I-35 High School. She lived in Des Moines and Winterset. Mary worked at Winterset Care Center North. She loved watching old westerns, especially John Wayne and enjoyed watching cartoons. She attended the Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles and was a very loving, caring aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

Those relatives who preceded Mary in death were her parents, Harry & Loree Rockey, grandparents, Otto & Esther Christensen, and grandparents, Frank & Mary Rockey.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory; brother, Herbert (Marguerite) Rockey of Kennewick, WA, brother, David (Vicki) Rockey of Truro, IA, sister, Marcia Thoren of Des Moines, IA, brother, Norman (Joanne) Rockey of Truro, IA as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
