Marie Landers, 81, died Saturday afternoon in an Amarillo hospital.

She was born Sept. 6, 1903 at Winterset, Iowa. She came to Texas County as a child with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Weeks.

She graduated from Guymon High School in 1923. She had taught in several area schools.

She was married to G.V. Landers in 1923. They had made their home in Truth or Consequences, N.M. before returning to Guymon to make their home in 1977.

Mr. Landers died in 1980.

Mrs. Landers was a member of the Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was an active member of the No Man's Land Senior Citizen Club.

Survivors include two brothers, Clarence Weeks and Russell Weeks, both of Guymon; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from Victory Memorial United Methodist Church in Guymon Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Grady McCullough, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Lions Memorial Park at Elmhurst Cemetery under the direction of the Henson Funeral Home of Guymon. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.

A Marie Landers Memorial has been established for ESTARL or No Man's Land Senior Citizens Club. Memorials will be accepted at the Henson Funeral Home.
