Louise D. Burr, 85, of 3837 Fifth St. died of a heart ailment Friday at Madison County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Burr was born in Patterson and had lived in Des Moines since 1926. She was a retired secretary for Iowa Department of Public Health and was a member of Highland Park Christian Church and Auburn Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sisters, Alice Chapman of Adel and Ruth DeWitt of Sitka, Alaska; and a brother, Richard DeWitt of Indianola.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Highland Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
