Vanessa “Jayne” Livingston, 63, of Orient, died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her home near Orient surrounded by her family, following a lengthy illness.

Family will receive friends at Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Ave. in Creston, 5-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019.

Memorial Services celebrating a life well-lived will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Des Moines First, 2725 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, IA., with Pastors Cullen Allen and Steve Beaman officiating.

Private burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Blessman International Ministries or the family.

Vanessa “Jayne” Livingston was born March 20, 1955, in Creston, IA, to Richard Dale and Bonnie Jayne (Petherick) Green and attended Orient-Macksburg Schools. Jayne was united in marriage to Mike Livingston on July 28, 1972, at the Hill of Zion Church. They lived in the Orient area most of their married life. She was most recently employed as a para educator at Creston Elementary School.
