Floy Jean DeBord

Floy DeBord, 63, of Orient, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Celebration of life memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, at the Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Ave. in Creston. Rev. Jim Morris will officiate the service. Burial will be at a later date at Jerusalem Cemetery north of Creston.

Open visitation with family receiving friends will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. service time on Thursday at Powers Funeral Home in Creston.

Floy Jean (Hacker) DeBord was born on November 26, 1955, in Atchison, Kan., a daughter to Peter Hacker and Marilyn (Watts).

Floy Jean was united in marriage to Pete Wiley in 1975 and they were blessed with three children, Ray, Mandi and Peter. They later divorced.

Floy Jean was united in marriage to Robert L. DeBord in 1992 in Winterset, Ia. He passed away in 2005. Floy Jean worked as a bartender as well as a nurse’s assistant. She received the Governor’s Award for her volunteer services in 1989 with Matura.

Floy is survived by her husband Mark Miller of Orient; children, Ray (wife Ashely) Wiley of Clarinda, Mandi Wiley (Tony Fizer) of Orient and Peter Wiley of Greenville, Ill.; grandchildren, JaiBre Spargur of Des Moines, William Dylan (wife Sarah) Martin Waukee, Pantera Stowers of Murray, Dominic Wiley of Carroll, Adreinne Wiley of Carroll, Wyatt Webb (Jayden Patton) of Murray, Harley Ray Wiley of Shenandoah, Eli Thorne of Parkersburg, Ia., Joey Wiley of Creston and Jaxton Wiley Shenandoah; one great grandson Archie Martin; brother Dan (Gloria) Hacker of Creston and good friend Judy Sammons. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Robert DeBord in 2005 and Pete Wiley in 2012.
