Des Moines, IowaMike Boyd, 57, was born June 1, 1957 in Garner, Iowa to William and Betty Boyd. He passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 20, 2015.
Mike worked for American Concrete for 10 years and enjoyed horses, riding motorcycles, being outdoors and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his significant other, Dawn Chapin; children, Shane (Annie), Justin (Michelle), and Ashley (Luke Daughenbaugh); step-daughter, Nicole Chapin; nine grandchildren; siblings, Rod, Patti, Rocky (Pat), and Debbie (Steve) Cave; as well as his nieces, nephews, many special relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Shannon.
Family will begin greeting friends at 9:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015, with a celebration of life scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
