On Monday, November 5, 2018, Phyllis Jan Rambow, passed from this world at the age of 76 years. She was born in Winterset, Iowa. Phyllis, known as "Jan" to her friends and family, attended Simpson College and Syracuse University.

Phillip and Jan were married on July 9th, 1966, and began a lifetime adventure together. For many years, she was the librarian at Hartman Elem. School in K.C., Missouri. She cherished nature and the outdoors, instilled this love in her children, and frequently traveled the country with Phillip.

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Phyllis Davis, her father, Melvin Davis, and her brother, Van Davis. She is survived by her husband Phillip, son Adam (and wife Meredith), daughter Megan (and husband Dave), and three grandchildren: Konrad, Jacob, and Sophie Rose. We will all miss her very much, as will all those whose lives she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 18, from 1pm to 5pm at her family residence, 10111 West 98th Street, Overland Park, Kansas, 66212. It will be an open house with time to show support for the family, celebrate Jan, and come together. There will be a formal service in Winterset, Iowa when the birds begin to sing again in the Spring.
