DEATH OF MARK D. HILL

Early Settler in Earlham Dies at Whittier, Calif.

Word has been received of the death of Mark D. Hill on Jan. 3d at his home in Whittier, Calif. Mr. Hill was 83 years old and was well known in Madison county, being in the banking business in Earlham for many years. Sixteen years ago, he disposed of his business and went to Whittier to live.

He is survived by his son, Luther Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Lucian Thomas of Imperial, Calif., and Mrs. Carl Johnson of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. I. W. Horn of Los Angeles. Mrs. Hill passed away last October.
