Donna was born on September 2, 1933 to Oscar and Julia (Stafford) Sharp in Seymour, Iowa. She grew up in Seymour and graduated from Seymour Community High School with the class of 1951. On August 18, 1951 she was united in marriage (by her father, Oscar) to Lyle Crozier in Centerville, Iowa. To this union two children were born: L. Mitchell “Butch” and Coy.

The family lived in Seymour until 1964. Following Lyle’s job driving a truck, the family moved to several areas before settling in Earlham then Waukee for the last 10 years. Donna worked as a waitress; school bus driver, in every town they lived in, until Earlham, and a homemaker for many years.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Rainbow Mother Advisor. She loved to sew and made numerous dresses, suits and other clothing for relatives and friends. She and Lyle also enjoyed wood crafting and selling their items at craft fairs. Donna was very competitive when it came to board games and card playing. She spent many hours teaching and playing games, especially Yahtzee with all her grandchildren. She was a great joke teller and always had one for everybody, even when she was in the hospital. Donna treasured spending time with all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Evelyn; and a son-in-law, David Ishmael.
