Harry L. Cord, 75, of 646 S. Central Ave., died Friday in Burlington hospital after an extended illness.
He was born July 6, 1883 the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William O. Cord, Winterset. On Nov. 5, 1901 he married Faye Darnell at Winterset.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Francine Cord Lau, Burlington; two brothers, Ralph of Chicago, Ill., and John of Des Moines; a granddaughter and two great-grandsons. Three brothers and three sisters are dead.
Services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday from the Giles funeral home with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.

Funeral services for Mr. Harry L. Cord of 646 S. Central Avenue who passed away March 27, after an extended illness will be held from the Giles Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with interment in Aspen Grove cemetery. Rev. Richard Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 7 and 9 p.m.
