Monday, January 30, 1933Stricken with heart disease, Mrs. Gravina Ellen Jeffers, 64, a resident of Council Bluffs for fifty-five years, died at her home at 2204 South avenue at 1:45 a.m. Monday, She had been ill one day.
Born in Madison county, she came to Council Bluffs in 1878.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Florence McKern, one son, Earl Jeffers: two brothers, A. D. Allen and Charles Allen: ten grandchildren and one great grandchild, all of Council Bluffs.
The body was removed to Woodring’s mortuary.

Thursday, February 2, 1933Funeral services for Mrs. Gravina Ellen Jeffers were held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at Woodring’s chapel. Rev. M. B. Pringle of the First Christian church officiated. Music was furnished by Mrs. R. D. Phinney and Mrs. J. W. Tionor, accompanied by Mrs. R. O. Williams. Pallbearers were Frank Allen, Donald Allen, Alfred Allen, Maurice Woolhiser, Harold McKern and Emil Graalfs. Burial was in Walnut Hill cemetery.
