Clyde William Fickes

Clyde William Fickes, son of Robert Eugene Fickes and Irene Imogene (Sears) Fickes was born October 28, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life Monday, August 27, 2018 at 60 years of age.

Clyde received his education at the Interstate 35 Schools and graduated from I-35 in 1976. Clyde was united in marriage to Marjorie Dianne Roberts on June 7, 1986 at Johnston, Iowa and two children, Bob and Bill blessed this union.

Clyde has owned and operated Fickes Hardware Store in St. Charles after taking over from his parents. Clyde has been very involved in the community over the years and was a great supporter of the little league, Lions Club and was a member of Masonic Lodge.

In his spare time, Clyde enjoyed fishing, bowling and hobby farming for a number of years.

Those relatives who preceded Clyde in death were his father, Robert Eugene Fickes, mother, Irene Imogene Fickes and his father-in-law, Charles Lowell Roberts.

Clyde leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Marj Fickes of Saint Charles, IA, sons, Bob Fickes along with his special friend Liz of Iowa City, IA and Bill Fickes and wife Susan of Chicago, IL; brother, John Fickes and wife Brenda of Truro, IA, sisters, Mona Fickes of Des Moines, IA and Marda Fickes of Plattsmouth, NE; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Roberts of Johnston, IA, several in-laws, nieces, nephews; as well as other relatives and many friends.
