Jonathan Andrew Adams, 32, of Winterset, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Aug. 22, 2018, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Celebration of Life will be at 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at Solid Rock Baptist Church I Wapello, Iowa.

Jonathan was born in Iowa City to Kirt and Loretta Adams on June 25, 1986. He graduated high school in 2005 from Winfield Mt. Union. He was engaged to be wed to Shelby Montgomery. Jonathan worked as a custodian for Creston Community School District for five years. Jonathan enjoyed life and was always the one to brighten up someone’s day. He enjoyed anything outdoors, spending time with family especially his dog, Titan, and doing CrossFit. His big smile was contagious and will be missed by all.

Jonathan is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Ray Vest and Donald Adams; and one uncle Michael Adams.

Jonathan is survived by his fiancé, Shelby Montgomery; their 10-year-old dog, Titan; his parents, Kirt and Tammy Adams and Loretta Adams, both of Morning Sun; his grandparents, Bessie Vest of Florida, Carolyn Adams of Burlington and Ron Ruble and wife Sharon of Burlington; four brothers and two sisters, Nick and Mendy Little of Creston, Doug and Brandy Little of Mt. Pleasant, Ryan and Dawnivon Adams of Morning Sun, Michael and Anna Tutor of Bettendorf, Stacy Richardson of New London and Heather Richardson of Morning Sun; four uncles and one aunt, Haskell and Joyce Vest of Florida, Kevin and Cindy Vest of Texas, Jonathan and Tracy Vest of New Hampshire, Ron Adams of Winfield and Rhoda Howard of Burlington; his 16 nieces and nephews, Lexie, Koltin and Addisyn Little, Ayden, Ava and Jaxsyn Little, Sheaden, Shye and Sully Adams, Christopher and Caitlin Richardson, Tucker Richardson and Dayton, Braydan, Zane and Jesse Tutor and lots of cousins.
