Merton L. Pike Rites Saturday

Services for Merton L. Pike, 87, of 920 Railroad ave., who died of a stroke Wednesday in Broadlawns Polk County Hospital, will be Saturday noon at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Pike, who was ill two months, was an employe of the City of Des Moines before his retirement in 1950. Born at Winterset, he lived in Des Moines 75 years.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian; a son, Lee of Des Moines; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
