Services for Jess Glen Nuckolls, 70, of 1005 Lyon St. will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Nuckolls died of cancer Monday at Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Born in Linden, Mr. Nuckolls lived in Earlham until moving to Des Moines 26 years ago. He was a retired, self-employed painter and paper hanger, and a member of Highland Park American Legion Posy 374 and Central Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eva; three sons, Donald of Des Moines, and Marlin and Gary, both of Dexter; three daughters, Esther Kincaid and Perry Van Tomme, both of Des Moines, and Kay Blackford of Austin, Tex.; two stepchildren, Ed Shannon of Des Moines and Mary Wearmouth of Newton, 28 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
