Mrs. Donovan Rites Planned

Services for Mrs. W. F. Donovan, 99, of 1254 E. Ninth st., widow of pioneer shoe store operator, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Mrs. Donovan died of a heart ailment Monday at her home after a five-year illness. A native of Winterset, she had lived in Des Moines 70 years.

She was a member of Abigail Adams Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Des Moines Women’s Club, Ladies of the Bank Club, and the philanthropy committee of the Des Moines Federation of Women’s Clubs.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Earl D. Frink of Des Moines; a granddaughter, three great-grandsons and a great-great-grandson.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Services for the Blind of Iowa, in care of the State Commission for the Blind.
