William Shannon

William Shannon of 3900 Lenox avenue NE died Wednesday following a long illness. A Cedar Rapids resident 65 years, he was a retired, self-employed blacksmith. He was born Dec. 29, 1876, at Patterson.

Surviving are a daughter, Mae Withrow of Cedar Rapids; a son in Minneapolis; a granddaughter, and seven great-grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be conducted at Turner chapel east at 10:30 a.m. Friday by Dr. Francis W. Pritchard.

Burial: Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
