Second Death in One Week

Roxie, the eleven year old daughter of W. E. Beall died of scarlet fever Monday and was buried Tuesday in the Estancia Cemetery. Ruth, the four year old sister, died of the same disease on last Thursday. Their little brother, who had the fever, is much improved. Our sympathies go out to the bereaved family. They have only been in the valley six or seven weeks, locating several miles southeast of Estancia.

Transcriber's note: Although not verified, it is likely that the deceased was born in Madison County where her family lived continuously until 1901 when they moved to Oklahoma. She is in the 1900 census, born in Iowa in December, 1897.
