Walter N. Graham

Funeral services for Walter N. Graham, 93, of Mooringsport will be at 10 a.m. today in the McGuire Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Grove, pastor of Mooringsport Methodist Church, officiating.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Spaulding Cemetery in Creston, Iowa, with Keating and Lindsay Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Graham died Sunday at North Cado Memorial Hospital in Vivian following a short illness. He was a Mooringsport resident 16 years.

A native of Winterset, Madison County, Iowa, he was a retired banker with the Oil City Bank. He was a charter member of the Oil City Rotary Club, a Mason, a long-time member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, and was a founder of the Monterey Country Club in Vivian.

Survivors include his wife, Adele Graham of Mooringsport; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry K. Butler of Oil City; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Butler III, Robert Butler, Lawrence Butler, Carl Steiner, Larry Page, Joe Harris, Louis Stephenson and Beauregard Danforth.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
