LORIMOR, IA. – Services for Oliver Jay Klingensmith, 77, of Lorimor, who died of a heart ailment Saturday at home, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial will be in the cemetery here.

Mr. Klingensmith was born in Madison County and lived in Chicago for 35 years. He was a retired government meat inspector.

Survivors include a niece, Mary Lou Sterner of Chehalis, Wash.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Oliver Jay Klingensmith, Lorimor

Services for Oliver Jay Klingensmith, 77, rural Lorimor, who died at his residence Jan. 18, were held Wednesday morning, Jan. 22 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on Sept. 9, 1908, he was the son of George and Allie Mae Shockelford Klingensmith.

Mr. Klingensmith was a meat inspector with the federal government until his retirement. He had lived in Lorimor the past 10 years and had moved there from Chicago. He was formerly a member of the Masons and Lions Club.

Survivors include a niece, Mary Lou Sterner of Chehalis, Wash.
