WELKER, Wilber O., husband of Florence Estella. Passed away Saturday in a local hospital. He is also survived by a son, Stirling T. of Phoenix; daughters, Mrs. F. C. (Lucile) Anderson of Scottsdale, Mrs. R. N. (Gail) Ruecker of Phoenix, Mrs. Margaret W. Lewis of Los Angeles; brother, Merrill A. Welker of Phoenix; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services 10:30 a.m. Monday in Palms Chapel Grimshaw Mortuary. The Rev. Otto Gallagher will officiate. Interment in Greenwood.

Wilbur O Welker

Services for Wilbur O. Welker, 70, who died yesterday in a local hospital, will be a 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Palms Chapel, Grimshaw Mortuary, 334 W. Monroe. The Rev. Otto Gallagher will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Born in Winterset, Iowa, Mr. Welker came to Phoenix in 1953 from Des Moines, Iowa. He served as city purchasing agent for the City of Des Moines for a number of years. He also was a bookkeeper and a salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Estella of Phoenix; three daughters, Mrs. F. C. Anderson of Scottsdale, Mrs. R. N. Ruecker of Phoenix, and Mrs. Margaret W. Lewis of Los Angeles; a son, Stirling T.; a brother, Merrill A., both of Phoenix; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
