Died, at the home of his parents, S. F. and E. Younkin, on May 11, 1890, Clark L. Younkin, aged twelve years, five months, and eleven days, of congestion of the brain, complicated with typhoid fever.

The funeral was from the Christian church Monday afternoon at half past three o’clock, and was attended by most of the school children of the west ward school, who marched to the cemetery and decorated the coffin with flowers. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. O. Ebert, of Creston.

Clark was one of the best little boys in Osceola, and all who knew him admired him for his gentle disposition and manly qualities. The parents have the sympathy of the entire community in this, their sore bereavement.
