Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Huston Welton, who died Thursday at the Iowa Soldiers home were held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Estel funeral home in charge of Rev. C. H. Van Metre, chaplain of the soldiers home. Burial was in the home cemetery. Pallbearers, all sons, were B. H., D. C. M. R., Frank, John A. and George W. Huston.

Relatives attending the services from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Huston of Peru, Iowa, and their son Paul of Del Rio, Texas; Roy Huston and Ruth Nichols, also of Peru; M. R. Huston and son Milo, Hibbing, Minn.; J. A. Huston and daughter, Kennebec. S. D.; B. H. Huston, Sidney, Mont.; D. C. Huston and family, Union; Mrs. Jake Christensen, Winterset; Harold Huston Truro, and Georgia F. Huston, Lorimor.

County Briefs – Peru

George Huston was called to Marshalltown Tuesday by the serious illness of his mother, Mrs. Anna Welton, who died Thursday at the Old Soldiers home there. He was accompanied by his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Roy Huston and they returned to Peru Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. George Huston and Mrs. Ruth Nichols went back to Marshalltown to attend the funeral services which were held Monday, May 24. Burial was made at Marshalltown.

Mrs. Welton who lived in this community many years ago, is survived by seven children, George Huston of Peru, John Huston of South Dakota, Harry Huston of Montana, Mel Huston of Minnesota, and Mrs. Helen Alexander, Mrs. Nellie Johnson and Frank Huston, all of Marshalltown.
