Rose L. Nehring Services Held

Rose L. Nehring of St. Charles died Monday, March 3, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. She had lived in St. Charles since 1978.

Born on Aug. 16, 1894, she was the daughter of William and Isabella Killduff Wiedmann. She grew up in the Patterson area and was a school teacher until her marriage to Ludwig A. Nehring on May 25, 1926, at Churchville. They lived on a farm in the St. Marys area until August of 1978 when they moved to St. Charles.

Surviving are her husband Ludwig, a daughter Isabel of St. Charles, a son Carl of St. Charles, a stepson Dick of Des Moines, three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 7, at Immaculate Conception Church with Monsignor Paul Connelly officiating. Burial was at St. Marys Cemetery.
