Oliver Ross an old settler of Truro died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Nellie Burton near Swea City, Iowa, and was brought to Truro and laid beside his wife, Mrs. Lula Ross, who was buried there only a few weeks ago. Mrs. Ross was an aunt of Austin Reed, and Mr. Ross was an uncle of John Nichols.

Austin Reed went to Truro last week via Hanley and St. Charles to attend the funeral of his uncle Oliver Ross.
