Phillip Bullin received a message Monday evening from his wife who has been at Osage some weeks with the little daughter, in hopes the specialist there might help the daughter—to come at once, he left on the first train, accompanied by his mother Mrs. Henry Bullin, but little Maxine had passed away before they got there. She took a change for the worse Monday evening and went into convulsions and passed away in a few short hours.

Little Maxine was born in Peru June 14th, 1914, and died at Osage, Iowa, August 1st, at six o’clock in the morning. The funeral was held Wednesday, and the little body laid beside her grand father in the Osage cemetery.

Everything that medical skill, money, and love and untiring devotion could do, was done in the hopes that this beautiful bud might be spared to the young parents, but God in his great wisdom has seen fit to take this precious jewel home. The sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved father and mother and friends.
