Albert E. Fenimore was born on January 19, 1877 at Truro, Iowa, and passed away on February 2, 1947, at Fargo, Okla., aged 70 years and 14 days.
He moved to Oklahoma in 1902 to a farm near Fargo, and shortly afterward entered business at Fargo, where he continued in the same occupation for 44 years.
He was united in marriage to Lillie Mae Simmons in 1899 at Winterset, Iowa. To this union, ten children were born. One died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife of the home, and the following children: C. G. Fenimore, Fargo; O. E. Fenimore, Shattuck; Mrs. Rose Brown, Elk City; Mrs. Velva Roper, Carter; Mrs. Daisy Venable, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Sena Phillips, Gardena, Calif.; Mrs. Annabell Brown and Mrs. Zelma Smith, Woodward; and Mrs. Letha Paulley, Fargo. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Jennie Eppard, Redfield, Iowa, and a brother, Clyde Fenimore of Oklahoma city.
He joined the Christian church in Iowa when a young man. He has been a citizen of the community for these many years.
Funeral services were held in the Fargo Methodist church, at Fargo, on February 7, 1947, and conducted by Rev. J. L. Demaree. Burial was in the Fargo cemetery. Sister Day, assisted Rev. Demaree.
The music was furnished by the following: Mrs. Erza Hohweiler, Miss Rose Marie Stephans, Mrs. John Fessler, Mrs. Otis Lennington, Mrs. Ford Hubbert, Mr. Harold File, Mr. Ford Hubbert, and Mr. Harold Faust, with Miss Emma Lou Hull at the piano. Also a special song was sung by Mrs. Beck and Mrs. Dohrer of Woodward. The songs were: “Rock of Ages,” and “In the Garden,” “Nearer My God to Thee,” and “Out of the Ivory Palaces.”
At the graveside, “Farther Along” was sung by Mrs. Hohweiler, Mrs. Lennington and Mrs. Hubbert. Pallbearers were Sam Pierson, Lavin Ware, E. E. Whitehead, Wm. Fessier, O. C. Brauch, and R. A. Stoner.
