Page 8, Column 4A daughter of Thomas Sturgeon was taken with violent bleeding at the nose last Saturday night. Dr. Platt was summoned, but Lillie died in a short time after his arrival. She had been ill for some time past but this sudden blow was altogether unlooked for.
The entire family have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement.
________________________Transcriber's note: Per census records, it can be surmised that the deceased was born in Madison County and spent her first 10 to 12 years there before the family moved to Buena Vista County.
