Julie Ann Coffman
August 25, 1950 - February 11, 2018

Julie Ann (Hauschildt) Coffman, 67 of Waukee passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Methodist West Hospital in West Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, February 15th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 16th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham. Burial will be at the Earlham Cemetery. Time of fellowship and luncheon will follow at the Bricker-Price Building in Earlham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Julie Coffman Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral home for a charity to be designated at a later date.

Julie was born the eighth of ten children to Harold and Viola Hauschildt on August 25, 1950. She grew up in Mapleton, Iowa and later moved to Earlham. She graduated from Earlham High school with the class of 1968 and soon after she started her family. Julie worked for several years at Maryland Casualty Company until its closing and lastly the last 30+ years at Farm Bureau in West Des Moines.

Julie enjoyed bowling, softball and fishing. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They could always put a smile in her heart.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Viola Hauschildt; brothers: Royce, Everette and Wayne; sisters: Janet (Don) and Marsha; and mother-in-law, Janet Coffman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Gary (Pamela) of Earlham, Kristi (Chris) Casey of Corydon and Steven (Trisha) of Van Meter; grandchildren: Kyle Coffman, Kelsey Coffman, Bobbi Jo (Randy) Owens, Stephanie Fontana, Joey Fontana, Cody Coffman, Trenton Marks, Brittany Marks; great-grandchildren: Athéné Owens and Olivia Owens; sisters: Marilyn (Carl) Dollar and Sharon Hauschildt; brothers: Don (Mary) Hauschildt and Randy (Karen) Hauschildt ; sister-in-law, Barbara; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and a host of other extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
