ILA E. MOORE RITES MONDAY

Services for Mrs. Ila E. Moore, 80, of 2103 Thirtieth st., long active in the Women’s Christian Temperance Union here, will be at 3 p. m. Monday at Dunn’s Funeral Home.

A brother, the Rev. O. B. Devine, former minister here who now heads a home for retired Evangelical United Brethern ministers at La Puente, Calif., will officiate. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Mrs. Moore, a Des Moines resident 65 years, died Friday at Calvin Manor, 4210 Hickman road, of complications from Parkinson’s disease. She had been in failing health several years.

She was a past president of the University W. C. T. U., serving some 10 years, and of the Polk County W. C. T. U. Federation.

Born near Truro, in Madison County, Mrs. Moore was a member of Grace Methodist Church. Her ancestors had settled in the county a century ago. She had reached 80 only Tuesday.

Her husband, J. M. Moore, is a retired plumbing and steam fitting contractor. They observed their sixtieth wedding anniversary in 1962.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Joe and Everett, both of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Berniece Hoschar of Des Moines; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are five brothers; W. F. Devine of Des Moines, John Devine of Truro; Glenn Devine of Iowa City; Aubrey Devine of Sun City, Ariz., and the Rev. O. B. Devine; and one sister, Mrs. Diza Wilburg of San Antonio, Tex.
