Page 14, Column 6Funeral Monday For Robert Ross
Services for Robert L. Ross, 62, of 3310 Fourth st., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Highland Park Funeral Home, with burial at Glendale cemetery.
Mr. Ross, who had been ill 18 months, died Friday at Veterans Hospital of complications resulting from a blood clot.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; a son, Donald Ross, Palo Alto, Cal.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George Partington and Mrs. Henry Fleischacker, both of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Callison, Grand Junction, Colo.; and nine grandchildren.
A native of Lorimor, Mr. Ross had lived in Sioux City before moving to Des Moines 20 years ago. He retired because of ill health from the state agriculture department in November 1952.
Mr. Ross was a graduate of Iowa State College at Ames. He was a member of the Moose, 40 & 8, Rainbow Division, Baldwin-Patterson Post of the American Legion, Home Masonic Lodge, West Des Moines Drum and Bugle Corps and Highland Park Christian Church.
