Page 7, Columns 6, 7, & 8Pearl Vinton Fivecoat, the second son of George W. and Annie Cummings Fivecoat, was born on July 13, 1878, in Madison county, and passed away at the Clarke county hospital on Dec. 8, 1962, at the age of 84 years and 3 months.
On Dec. 22, 1897, he was united in marriage to Rosa May Linkenback and to this union one daughter was born, Eva Maude, who passed away in October, 1921.
In December, 1957, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and planned to observe their 65th anniversary on Dec. 22 of this year.
In February, 1917, he and his family united with the Church of Christ during the ministry of E. W. Killian.
He had made Murray and its vicinity his home for most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, sisters and his daughter.
He is survived in his passing by his wife, Rosa, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was a kind and loving husband and father. He loved the little children and the older folks as well, and he will be missed by all of them who knew him.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 10 at the Watts and Soll Funeral Home with Rev. W. W. Williams officiating. Burial was in the Murray cemetery.
