Leo Bloomquist Iiams, oldest living of 10 children, was born to August Bloomquist and Adela Speer Bloomquist on Nov. 12, 1906 in Madison county and passed away Aug. 22, 1962 at the age of 55 years.

She was educated in the rural schools of Madison county, graduated from Earlham high school and returned to the rural schools of Madison as a school teacher.

Early in life, she accepted Christ as her Saviour, was baptized and became a member of the Early Chapel Church near Earlham.

On June 2, 1928, she was united in a marriage of 34 years to Dale Iiams. To this union 2 children were born, Ramona and Naomi.

She is survived by her husband Dale; two daughters, Ramona Leeper of Carlisle and Naomi Iiams of Des Moines; one son-in-law, Richard Leeper; two grandchildren, Debbie and Dixie Leeper; six sisters and one brother, Mrs. Sid Hartman, Winterset; Geraldine Bloomquist, Winterset; Mrs. Vera Kerwan, Longview, Washington; Mrs. Claude Beaman, Pitzer; Mrs. Don Rehard, Winterset; Mrs. Winifred Bly, Adel; and Carl Bloomquist, Pitzer. Also, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, one in infancy, oldest of the children, and Harold Edward Bloomquist, youngest of the children, lost at sea during World War II.

She was a faithful wife and mother and will never be forgotten by her family.

Services held at the Murray Church of Christ on Aug. 25, Walter W. Williams, minister officiating. Interment at the Murray Cemetery.

Mrs. Dale Iiams Rites At Murray

Resident 32 Years Dies Wednesday Following Long Illness

MURRAY—Mrs. Della Leo Iiams, 55-year-old resident of the Murray community for more than 30 years, died Wednesday at the Clarke county hospital. She had been seriously ill for some time and had been a hospital patient for the past 50 days.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon in the Murray Church of Christ with Rev. Walter Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Union cemetery and arrangements are in charge of the Watts-Soll Funeral Home.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Bloomquist, she was born Nov. 12, 1906, in Madison county. She attended school there and had been a resident of the Murray area for the past 32 years.

She was united in marriage with Dale Iiams at Winterset and they were the parents of two daughters.

Her survivors include her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Richard Leeper and Naomi Iiams of Des Moines.
